Top 5 New Trance Tracks 20-04-09 Ok it’s a day late but here is my Top 5 New Trance Tracks for the 20th April!

I hope you all had a wonderful time listening to what you could of A State of Trance over the weekend. It was without a doubt amazing to hear of 11,000 plus people from across the globe tuning in via the video stream and multiple audio streams. Without a doubt Armin van Buuren has sent a benchmark that will be hard to beat. Was nice to connect with lots of you on Twitter too through the hashtag #asot400 :)

Anyway, back on topic…

Cartouche – Bitter Sweet (Extended Mix)
RR Recordings

As the title suggests, yes it is a mix of the Verve’s – Bitter Sweet Symphony. No vocals but the sweeping strings are all over it. I maybe a little early shouting out this one as there is only the Extended Mix available which I think has the potential for better things, though I still think it is a lovely take that will raise a cheer from the dance floor.

Oen Bearen – Ajoyable (Original Mix)
Stampgevaar Digital

I don’t hear many tracks who treat their breakdowns and what they involve after with the care and attention as they once use to. I’m loving the subtle sound of this one and the way Oen Bearen carrys it through when it kicks back in, rather than inducing us with electro inspired basslines that is all the trend lately (E.g. Simon Patterson – Bulldozer).

Push – Universal Nation (Guy Mearns Remix)
Progrez

Another nice progressive number with remix duties by Guy Mearns getting a release on Progrez, after being featured on Bonzai’s labels twice already! A nice change from his tougher numbers on Lee Haslam’s Digital Remedy Recordings, and really shows he can diversify his sound.

Mandy Lou – Madystic (Original Mix)
Sphere Traxxx

This has been out for a while but I have only just picked up on it. I’m loving the interesting arrangement, it is an intelligent tech-trance affair not for the faint hearted! I can see why DJ Choose has put this one in his box.

Night Liberator – Artificial Pervasion (Charlie G & Vandall Remix)
CGI Records
TrackItDown.net link

More awesome tech-trance with one massive breakdown. With support from Judge Jules (featuring on his Radio 1 show) and played out by the likes of Yoji (Night Liberator added to HellHouse Recordings too!) and Scot Project, hell even Ferry Corsten is all over it! It is one for the shopping cart tech-trance lovers!!

That’s it for this week, sorry it was a day late readers!
