Been a while, but this week I hope to give you a feast of new music

So who is Bonn Lewis? Well here is what I do know from the little information I have been able to gather…

20 years old, living in Bradford and studying music at University, but in the mean while has a residency playing at Rusty Hat and is doing the rounds producing under various guises. You’ll not find Bonn Lewis in the telephone directory as it is in fact an anagram of his real name Ben Wilson.

His debut track on L8-Night Records is released on the 11th November and is titled Worlds Apart with a remix from Phil Metcalfe. You can check out both tracks on his MySpace player on the link below:

With Tom Robinson having played out both Qingdao and Spatter on his ‘BBC introducing’ show he is definitely a producer to keep an ear out for. I hope we here lots more trance from him with his luxurious use of guitar strings and that trademark trance clap in Worlds Apart.

I had Matt Church (one of three involved in Red Sky Digital) down to Portsmouth recently for an event and like many trance lovers he has his fingers in all the pies; promoting, DJing and producing. He really does live and breath his love for trance music…who else whips out their phone and records their baby son’s heartbeat whilst the wife is in labour? Matt Church does!

Alongside Matt are Phil Lankester (aka Libra 9) and Kevin Shepherd.

With bags of experience as both DJs and Producers they present an array of styles and skills honed at a multitude of gigs and promoting the highly successful Swamp and Puzzle Project events in the UK and Holland.
Each release will offer bold tracks across the Trance spectrum with Psy, Tech, Uplifting and Progressive Trance, among others, keeping things fresh and exciting on every release.
Red Sky has a host of talent on the books including Greg Brookman, Adriz, Ben Alonzi, Liam Melly, Luke Warner, Nathan Cryptic and Glyn Waters. This is barely scratching the surface of talent who you’ll see offering original tracks and upfront remixes.

With their launch date being the 16th October on AudioJelly and the 2nd November elsewhere, things are hotting up with support from Aly & Fila, Joey V, Manuel Le Saux, Mark Eteson and Tom Colontonio.

It is not often that you find a label that is ever true to their trance roots. All to often a new label these days, Only One Recordings started in early 2008, will go down the electro or hard tech-trance path. Here we have a label that is not only pioneering the uplifting and euphoric sound of trance, but also doing it in style with the likes of Oen Bearen, Ex-Driver and many other great trance artists on board.

Hopefully they have given you enough faith so you understand why I have chosen to write about this fantastic label that I really hope to see grow and develop a great catalogue of releases in the future.

RR recordings originally started out as RR records founded by Ron van den Beuken with the first release in 2001 called ‘Mystery’ produced under his alias The Mystery. 2009 saw the name change to RR recordings and re-launch under the parent company Spinnin’ Records. Since then there has been multiple releases (I count six at time of writing with various remixes) that take a familiar sound and drive it home once again to the dance floor.

Some of my favourites so far have been the labels rework of The Verve’s ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ and Chicane’s ‘Saltwater’, in the form of Cartouche’s ‘Bitter Sweet’ and Ron Van Den Beuken’s ‘Faraway (Harry’s Game)’ respectively. Their back catalogue is worth checking out too with releases from Sam Sharp and DJ Tatana.

Aptly named “New breed tech-trance legends” by top music download site TrackItDown.net this liverpool based DJ/production duo have captured the attention of the worlds elite DJs and the world’s trance scene in general.

They have seen support from the likes of Judge Jules, Agnelli & Nelson, Sander van Doorn and many more for their productions that have been released on Couture, Abstract Recordings, Stampgevaar Digital, Beyond Digital, Communicate Recordings and Infexious Recordings.

Going through their releases on TrackItDown.net, they have an impressive list already that are all quality releases ready to demolish dancefloors across the world, and have done just that!

P.S. Next week there will be a little change in the rules of Trance Tuesday so we can spread the word and make it easier for all to take part. Some of you have already been doing things differently, so it only makes sense for me to go with the flow.

To confirm my beliefs along with many of his fans, he was snapped up this year by PFAgency and also made Goodgreef resident.
Well done to Jordan, he is a down to earth lad from the conversations I have had with him and deserves all the success he has achieved. There is not a doubt in my mind he is going to climb even higher and become a regular name on the international stage.

Along with superb DJ talent skills, Jordan Suckley has been getting his hands dirty in the studio and has had some excellent tracks released. My favourite so far being Mac & Taylor Vs. Jordan Suckley – Animal. It really raises the roof with a hard, gritty, tech-trance sound!
