Hope you are all enjoying the first day of the week (at time of writing Haha!). Very much a busy week for lots of producers on Twitter tweeting they are getting their heads down in the studio, and we all like the sound of that as it means more of the following tracks listed below.

This week I’m inviting you all to make a comment and in return I will let you pick a new release and write a few sentences about it to be featured on the site next week. Get your thinking caps on as to what has not been already placed on here in the past week, or a track you know is going to be released in the next 7 days.

This weeks first track has been brought to my attention by TrackItDown.net having a later release date than DJdownload.com (but I’ve loaded it up in their player anyway above). A nice driving number and I love the trademark trance claps and rolling bassline throughout the Lehm & Gras Remix.

The Club Mix is a mighty fine trancer for the hands in the air folk who like to up the tempo! I’ve also added in the player the Dub Mix that is some what progressive with a nice groovy swing.

Leigh Brooks hooks up the fabulous Fabio Stein and drop a bomb off a track on the label of the moment when it comes to tech-trance. Big sounds all round from the bass kick to riff that kicks in and carries on through the break. Perfect speaker damage!

I know the likes of many people will pick the Mark Sherry & James Allan Remix, but to me Scot project is the daddy of hard trance sounds! Take your pick of either but the Scot Project mix flicks my switch with the massive kick and subtle breakdown that slowly but surely builds back into a hard as nails track – not for the faint hearted trance fan

Wade Bennet – Amber (Beta Blokka Remix)

Taking it down a notch (or three) is Wade Bennet’s Amber. I really must do a better job at keeping up to date with Spaced Out Recordings releases, they always surprise me with their melodies and quality of productions.

Only One Records pushing more fine uplifting trance out of their stable door…love the guitar work and floating synth work in the background.
The other release Magic Garden that goes with this is completely weird, I really do hope they concentrate on the finer releases such as this as they really could go far making this stuff the staple sound of their label.

Taking it down to something progressive at the end… I could of picked the Myon and Shane 54 Monster Mix, but to be honest, as much as it is a good track it is nothing new from them and this remix does the track more justice in my opinion Let me know if your view is different down below of course!

Well summer is coming to a close here in the UK and all those tracks you have heard on those (some) sunny days are rolling in. The DJmag votes are now being counted by the time many of you read this…will Above & Beyond take that number one spot I wonder?

Mean while the closing parties in Ibiza are under way and I’m planning on celebrating my 30th Birthday at Slinky, O2 Academy Bournemouth (formerly known as The Opera House). Feel free to join me for one hell of a night on the 31st October with the likes of Marco V, Adam Sheridan, Ali Wilson, Lee Haslam, Ben Gold and Dav Gomrass!

The throb of the sub-bass and kick to this track really picks it out. Then when it breaks, the keys and the rhythm changes in the percussion (very dubstep stylee Haha!) as it builds again make it one supreme track on the list today!

Myon & Shane 54 take an already excellent track and give it a superb vocal mix that is…well, just lovely I guess does not sum it up enough. Love vocal tracks? This is one for you!

Ok I’m going to act all child like now (sorry!) —- OMG! OMG! OMFG! TUNE!!
I shit you not this has totally made my day and trying to listen to other tunes to pick after I came across this corker of a remake has been hardwork. Old school Marco V tracks such as Indicator, Acid Pacemaker and of course Stimulated are some of my all time favourite tech-trance tunes. How could they not be? If you have ever loved tech-trance then I dare you to say you have not heard of at least one of those three and say you have not enjoyed them!

The Original Mix of Stimulated 2010 has that slight slant of the new Marco V. What I love is it does not give the game away until 2mins 38secs and then the trademark sound screams out.
The Jonas Stenberg Remix is one evil sucker with lots of familiar sounds but the main riff drops in at 3mins 57secs. This I can tell is going to be weapon of choice in many DJs collections but to be fair I love them both. Now who is up for Indicator 2010??

Jordan Suckley jumps up the production ladder all the time with his efforts! Already signed to one of Britain’s biggest booking agencies and producing top notch tracks I can’t see what can go wrong for him right now. The Storm! is set to kick off a storm of fans flocking his way with this excellent trance track incorporating something for everyone.

A difficult choice with both Dennis Sheperd and Cold Blue each doing a Mix and Dub Mix. Cold Blue does it for me though by a whisker as it carries the energy throughout the track a lot more.

There are a whole bundle of mixes for this track! Soo many in fact that it floods into Dub, Breaks and Chillout.
Something for everyone I guess is Shah’s orders. I’m prefering the Heartstrings Remix just a little over the Original Mix as it has a little more grunt after the breakdown.

As heard on the Epitome of Sound Sessions podacst Episode 3 this month with Steve Anderson supplying a wonderful guest mix. A fantastic progressive trance track that really has it all in the right places with drum rolls, synths that leave you floating on cloud 9 and piano keys that call out your name.

A driving groove makes way for hands in the air synths, which in then in turn makes way fora dirty bassline when it kicks back in! Woody van Eyden showing why he is much loved in the trance scene and I say is unfairly under-rated in the UK.

There are not many that come along like this that sound so refined and exquisite, go look that word up if need be as it really speaks volumes of this track. Skytech really have a sound all of their own shown with the releases so far; Floating Clouds and Neon Warrior.

Couture really is a driving force at the front of hard tech-trance right now in my opinion. This mix from Erik Kay has a slight twist to the lead and most certainly has its kicking boots on for show time!

Lovely depth and progression in this track makes it a fav of mine right now. The breakdown totally changes how the track feels after all the swing and groove leading to it. Reshizzled Mix is also worth checking out for preference

Quality UK summer weather means pulling out some ultimate trance tracks to blast out on the speakers!

I really want to say there are some awesome tracks around, and as you will notice from the selection below, some great remixes and sample uses of some classic trance! Love them or hate them, you can’t beat hearing some one else’s slant on an awesome release.

“Overture (French ouverture, meaning opening) in music is the instrumental introduction to a dramatic, choral or, occasionally, instrumental composition.” On the advice of Wikipedia I would say this is a switch track, meaning that once you drop this track or hear it played you know the night has really begun. Dirty bass and euphoric sounds all in one!
Also check out ‘Cloud Shadow‘ as part of Greg Nash’s ‘Shadow EP’, very good stuff too.

The man that was once half of First State shows that he’ll be marching on with this great remix of the classic that every girl, boy, dog, cat, goldfish and ultimately every trance lover should own by now. 12 years on Sander van Dien does justice to Greece 2000, now over a decade old, 12 years old in fact! I wonder what its teenage years will bring?

If your anything like me, then you have probably hopped into other genres at times and enjoyed what they had to offer. Signum’s ‘What Ya Got 4 Me’ is an absolute classic that was snapped up by Tidy Trax after it was first released on Jinx Recordings. It was often a track to be heard blasting from chalets at many a Tidy Weekender and now I have a perfect progressive mix of it to cherish over the summer.

I saw this a few weeks ago when released on Soundpiercing and really grew to love it afterwards. I regretted not putting it in the list that week so I badgered Armada to sign it and guess what… Ok yes I’m telling fibs! But I wouldn’t be surprised if someone from Armada is telling the same kind of story, as I’m sure they would of had a chance to have released this before Soundpiercing and are now making amends – as am I by featuring it this time round.

Push’s new album Global Age is due for release and here we have a bonus track that I really enjoy as it provides a bit more depth to the kick than the original. Nicely done and also I spotted there is a bonus remix of Interference by Sean Tyas for any of his fans.
