This week sees many quality trance tracks from some awesome producers! As always I take ten that were recently released and I hope you enjoy listening to them.

A driving groove makes way for hands in the air synths, which in then in turn makes way fora dirty bassline when it kicks back in! Woody van Eyden showing why he is much loved in the trance scene and I say is unfairly under-rated in the UK.

One of those tracks that just grows and grows all the way to the breakdown and then after the break carries the lovely trance sound straight through till the end. They don’t make many as captivating as these anymore, excuse the pun!

Marcie’s vocals grace yet another track for the new trance tracks featured on iLove Trance Music… I can’t get enough of her vocals right now and as with many vocalists, their work seems to come thick and fast from all labels like a runaway train once they break through.

Another great vocal track, this time from the great Coldharbour Recordings that took over Afterhours.fm last Tuesday. DJ Eco does a fine job on the remix duties making this one vocal trance track to not miss.

There are not many that come along like this that sound so refined and exquisite, go look that word up if need be as it really speaks volumes of this track. Skytech really have a sound all of their own shown with the releases so far; Floating Clouds and Neon Warrior.

Couture really is a driving force at the front of hard tech-trance right now in my opinion. This mix from Erik Kay has a slight twist to the lead and most certainly has its kicking boots on for show time!

Cliff Coenraad – Distorted Reality (Original Mix)

Lovely depth and progression in this track makes it a fav of mine right now. The breakdown totally changes how the track feels after all the swing and groove leading to it. Reshizzled Mix is also worth checking out for preference

Along with the likes of Sean Tyas, Thomas Bronzwaer has certainly made his mark on the scene in recent years and Look Ahead is just another full on trance track that has to sit in your collection if you like that sound.

Quality UK summer weather means pulling out some ultimate trance tracks to blast out on the speakers!

I really want to say there are some awesome tracks around, and as you will notice from the selection below, some great remixes and sample uses of some classic trance! Love them or hate them, you can’t beat hearing some one else’s slant on an awesome release.

“Overture (French ouverture, meaning opening) in music is the instrumental introduction to a dramatic, choral or, occasionally, instrumental composition.” On the advice of Wikipedia I would say this is a switch track, meaning that once you drop this track or hear it played you know the night has really begun. Dirty bass and euphoric sounds all in one!
Also check out ‘Cloud Shadow‘ as part of Greg Nash’s ‘Shadow EP’, very good stuff too.

The man that was once half of First State shows that he’ll be marching on with this great remix of the classic that every girl, boy, dog, cat, goldfish and ultimately every trance lover should own by now. 12 years on Sander van Dien does justice to Greece 2000, now over a decade old, 12 years old in fact! I wonder what its teenage years will bring?

If your anything like me, then you have probably hopped into other genres at times and enjoyed what they had to offer. Signum’s ‘What Ya Got 4 Me’ is an absolute classic that was snapped up by Tidy Trax after it was first released on Jinx Recordings. It was often a track to be heard blasting from chalets at many a Tidy Weekender and now I have a perfect progressive mix of it to cherish over the summer.

I saw this a few weeks ago when released on Soundpiercing and really grew to love it afterwards. I regretted not putting it in the list that week so I badgered Armada to sign it and guess what… Ok yes I’m telling fibs! But I wouldn’t be surprised if someone from Armada is telling the same kind of story, as I’m sure they would of had a chance to have released this before Soundpiercing and are now making amends – as am I by featuring it this time round.

Push’s new album Global Age is due for release and here we have a bonus track that I really enjoy as it provides a bit more depth to the kick than the original. Nicely done and also I spotted there is a bonus remix of Interference by Sean Tyas for any of his fans.

Digital Foundation Radio Show feat. Paul Webster, Myon & Shane54 & more!

As radio shows go Digital Foundation is still in its infancy, and with this only being its 3rd episode to be broadcast on Saturday 9th May on sense.fm host Stevie Carnie has put together a show full of exclusive guest mixes from some of the hottest producers about.

Episode 003 features guest mixes coming from trance heavy weights Paul Webster (Armada), Myon & Shane54 (Anjunabeats/Armada) and tech trance/techno rising star Reaky (Yin Yang). To top off the show is the talents of young Scottish producer and DJ – D:folt (also signed to Armada) and 18 yr old Irish newcomer Ciaran Fox, who has recently had his first solo release ‘Slip’ signed to Claudia Cazacu’s Couture label.
All this knitted together by Stevie’s own top tracks of the month and a well known Classic.

Paul Webster (Armada)

Paul Webster is man who knows exactly how to make a dance floor explode, with his productions causing havoc all across the world and being dropped by the likes of Simon Patterson, Fred Baker and Judge Jules. He is the next in line to take over the world from that small island in the Atlantic that seems to produce only the finest music.

Myon & Shane54 (Anjunabeats)

From Armin to Above & Beyond this young pairing have conquered the world with there awesome original productions, remixes and bootlegs – whatever they touch turns to gold. Playing at the sold out A State of Trance 400 event in Germany showed that it’s not only producing this pair can do, the world is theirs for the taking.

D:folt (Armada)

Over the last year, this young mans status as a future star has been cemented. From his track ‘I Come Running’ being remixed by Tydi and used by him to open his set at this years Trance Energy festival, or being given the opportunity by Armada to remix one of the best tunes of the year David Forbes’s ‘Because of You’.
If it is vocal trance you like, D:folt is your man.

Reaky (Yin Yang)

Slovenia’s Reaky has a mission. That mission is to turn the trance world into a quivering wreck! His pounding tech-trance tracks are being dropped by the biggest DJs on the planet including Paul van Dyk and Eddie Halliwell, the latter loving his tunes that much he signed them to his compilation album Fire It Up.

Ciaran Fox (Couture)

18yr old DJ/Producer from Northern Ireland, having just signed his first debut release to Couture, this young man is now on a mission to become the next Irish trance superstar! Using the reliable Fruity loops to produce his tracks it is clear the future is bright for Ciaran…remember where you heard him first.

More euphoric, uplifting, dirty, tech, banging, quality sounds this week as I give you my top 5!

I hope you all had an excellent Easter weekend, I know many of you in Australia would of been enjoying the likes of…well any of the 5 below in fact. To celebrate returning back to work (…Yawn!) Hmmm… Marco V. I’ll be frank, I really didn’t follow what he did after Automanual, as I felt he was going to far down the electro/house route. Coma Aid I really think is a mixture of old and new and he has won me over again. Some may mention Red Blue Purple was also a fantastic track, but I heard it caned in so many commercial which kinda turned me off – just like when a pretty chav clubber opens her mouth and says “Wot u looking at?!”.
