Stuart’s Pick of 5

Dash Berlin feat. Emma Hewitt – Waiting (Vocal Mix)
Aropa Records

Dash Berlin team up with vocalist Emma Hewitt and produce a nicely rounded track.

Trend – Krakles (Original Mix)
Couture

Couture dishing out the tech-trance goods on fine form as always. The big sub-bassline break really makes the speakers get working!

Loyder – Riffless (Original Mix)
WA-X Records

More techy filth for you here from the WA-X Records stable, they really are churning out some beasts…the break reminds me of LFO – Freak with the delay for some reason :S

Andrey SOM – Cracker
National Sound Records

As TrackItDown mention, this has Public Domain’s Operation Blade written all over it, but by no means is that a bad thing! This is a wicked little number that will have many on the floor tilting their head sideways for a moment working out if it is a new remix or not – I like!

Dakota – Koolhaus (Skytech Stadium Mix)
Coldharbour Red Recordings

To round off my tech-trance madness I’ll tie it all off with the awesome Dakota. Probably the track you’d want to play before the last three, a little progressive but still has a fat bassline running through it giving it that nice edge.

DJ-Code Y’s Pick of 5

Alan Wyse – Gifted Soul (John Gibbons & Scimon Tist Remix)
CGI Records

An uplifting BOMB of a track, a nice and epical plucking melody catches you in the beginning before it gets calm on the break, and then, suddenly, a huge wall of sound clutches on to you on the climax, this track will sure get you into a happy state of mind! No matter how you feel!

Matt Skyer – Canberra
Emphase Recordings

This is the kind of track that always brings a smile to my face whenever I feel down. The melody is rather uplifting and the piano is more known as a “Trance Piano” than a “Grand Piano” in the EDM scene these days.
This is the yesterday’s Trance in a today’s coating!

Ton T.B. – Calculating Darkness (Club Mix)
Black Hole Recordings

A great track made by a great producer and DJ, we certainly remember his previous release “ DreamMachine” and this one is even better in my personal opinion. A great male vocal which really contains some emotion that colours the track in well.
The poetic lyrics tell about love and hope, and isn’t that what trance music is about?
A must have this is!

Ron Hagen and Pascal M – Riddles In The Sand (Original Mix)
Armada Music

You might already know this track, as it was released not too long ago. Armin van Buuren himself had the honour to play this track in many sets. If you have never heard this, you might fall from your chair at hearing this tune!
Get it while it’s still hot!

Terracotta Army – Stealing Souls (Lens Flare Remix)
AVA Recordings

I always like it when producers have the guts to use a acoustic feeling in an electronic track. This vocal could as well be coming from a rock song from Coldplay or some other major band.
Another male vocal, they are less found on the scene, but when you do, you might as well love it!

Hope you all liked DJ-Code Y’s views and additions to this weeks list. See you tomorrow for Trance Tuesday!
Please feel free to add tracks that you are loving underneath :)
