Oh dear where has the year gone? It is February already and I’ve been a very bad boy Hahaha!
As some of you are aware last year near the end became very hectic with me returning to work, two puppies being added to the household (look for photos here) and, some other closer friends will know, I developed an addiction to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
What can I say hey?
Well to kick start things…
I’d like you to welcome a guest writer who is a very familiar face in the trance scene with her vocals gracing tracks such as TyDi & Dennis Sheperd’s ‘Somehow’ and
Danilo Ercole’s ‘Broken Wings’ both released on Armada. If you have not already guessed, I’m very pleased to announce the fantastic Marcie is producing a column called Marcie’s Lyric Picks to supplement her radio show named ‘Behind The Lyric’.
Vol. 1 is available now to read and is called Timely Voices
More news…
As any of you know who have wrote an essay, tried writing a story or even tried writing a blog…it is not always easy! If you are lucky enough to find the time of day, the words will not always be there flowing from your head to your fingertips. Some may call it writers block, I call it life!
So like any sensible person I’m roping in a friend to help with the site behind the scenes who I have known since I recruited him as a resident DJ for a club night and then promoted him to co-promoter as it came apparent his skills extended beyond the decks. I’d like you all to make Alex Eneas welcome and look out for his podcast coming soon with all manner of trance and guest mixers.
The offer still stands for any other budding writers out there to get in touch so they can express their love of trance. This maybe useful experience for anyone wanting a career in writing/journalism, or even looking at promoting their musical talent further in written format such as Marcie is doing. Use the contact page at the top to get in touch
And one more thing…
As mentioned earlier I have taken up arms on the Playstation 3 with Call of Duty. If you are a fan of the same game then please feel free to join my clantag which is aptly named ‘iLTM’ (I’m guessing if your reading this site you can guess what it stands for
) and add me as a friend under the guise of ‘GekkoDSI’. I hope to be seeing some headshot action from you all soon

Alex has an Xbox360 and I’m sure he’ll like to see you Xbox fans on there too. Please remember to tell us to get off and do some writing from time to time.
There is more work happening with regards the blog and I hope to be announcing something major VERY soon involving a leading trance brand in the UK, so watch this space!
Don’t forget to check Marcie’s Lyric Picks and if your an old reader from last year…thank you for sticking with me whilst it was quiet! xx

Oh yes here they all come, those polite requests of “Vote for me!”
I compiled this list last week alongside the Twitter list published Monday. Thanks once again to all of those who contributed!
Last week I asked some Twitter followers what their favourite trance tracks were. If they stated a mix I have added that but otherwise just left it to your imaginations which ones they liked…
There are without a doubt many, many well known talented male DJs and producers around the globe, but how many female DJs and producers could you name?
As radio shows go
For quite some time I have been in the process of selling my beloved pair of Technics 1210 Mk3 decks/turntables (depending on your preference of terminology).
I was not entirely happy with compiling the Top 25 for a number of reasons. Mostly because it was made up of known names, many new artists who had broken the scene were missing and I felt it was a bland read because of that. So I went back through the list at
